About Blue Compass RV

Jon P. Ferrando founded Blue Compass RV in 2018 and serves as our CEO and President. He is a seasoned Fortune 200 senior executive with a strong strategic orientation and 25 years of experience leading entrepreneurial growth and large public companies. Before Blue Compass RV, Jon was a key member of the AutoNation senior management team that drove the strategy/execution of AutoNation’s extraordinary growth phase from a start-up to a $20 billion enterprise and the largest automotive retailer in the United States.

Prior to joining AutoNation, Mr. Ferrando was a corporate attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Chicago, Illinois, one of the largest corporate law firms in the world. A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Mr. Ferrando graduated from the University of Michigan in 1988 with a B.A. in Economics and from Harvard Law School in 1991.

Raul Rodriguez joined in 2018 as Senior Vice President Corporate Development. Raul is the chief growth officer responsible for leading the company’s mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and greenfield development efforts, including strategy, business development, valuation, negotiation, due diligence, integration and closing activities. Previously, Raul served as Vice President Corporate Development at AutoNation.

Chris Glenn is a seasoned executive with over 35 years in Automotive and Recreational Vehicle industries and has an extensive background in operations, technology and strategy, Chris previously led Service and Parts operations at Blue Compass and has a passion for creating an excellent customer experience. Chris previously served as managing partner and COO at Motormindz, where he worked with leading service, parts and digital retail technology solutions in the automotive sector. Prior to that, Chris held various management roles for 15 years at AutoNation, including as Vice President of Service.

Taylore Elliott is Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer for Blue Compass RV since 2019 where she manages over 1,300 employees, nationally. Focused on talent development and succession planning to ensure the company’s continued growth strategy. Taylore’s experience includes over 15 years of human resources leadership roles at, AutoNation, the largest automotive retailer in the United States.

Kurt Hornung is a 20 year plus automotive executive in the finance and insurance sector. Prior to joining Blue Compass RV, Kurt was the President of Elite Income Development Group partnering with automotive and RV dealers across the country to improve F&I performance. Kurt also spent 12 years with AutoNation the leader in F&I gross for the industry, holding the position of Vice President of Finance and Insurance for the country’s largest automotive retailer with over 300 locations.

Tim Benter currently serves as corporate vice president, general counsel of Blue Compass RV, where he is responsible for all legal affairs of the company. Prior to joining Blue Compass RV, Tim spent 22 years in senior management for Republic Services, an industry leading public company founded by Wayne Huizenga that is the second-largest solid waste and recycling services company in North America with over $10 billion in annual revenue. Tim’s most recent legal role was vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary at Republic Services, and he also served in business operations roles including vice president, engineering and environmental compliance.

A native of Baltimore, MD, Tim earned a B.S in Finance from the University of Maryland, J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, and an M.B.A from Arizona State University.

Jennifer Robinson has over two decades of finance and accounting experience, starting her career at Deloitte and serving in finance roles the past 15 years for retail organizations, including public company CFO experience. She held senior finance positions at Michaels Stores, a $5 billion retail company with over 1,000 locations. Jennifer holds a CPA from the State of Texas, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.

Shahnaz Broucek has extensive experience in leadership development and executive coaching, team building, business communications, change management, business strategy, and human capital management. She served on the faculty of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan teaching BBA and MBA students, and designed and taught programs at the Ross Executive Education Program, including RVR’s University of Michigan Leadership Development Program that RVR’s top 20 leaders participated in over the past year.

Mario Lozada is a seasoned IT leader with significant retail technology experience including most recently at Payless ShoeSource, where he led the company’s digital transformation by moving all technology from applications to infrastructure to the cloud, while significantly reducing IT operating expenses. Mario holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Barry University and he served in the United States Air Force as an Information Technology Specialist.

Donny O’Banion is President of our Motor Home Specialist division in Texas and joined in 2018 when Blue Compass RV acquired MHS. With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, Donny works with manufacturers to help guide product designs and price points for the motorized segment of our industry and is responsible for all aspects of the MHS business. Prior to joining Blue Compass RV, Donny was CEO of MHS.

Brad Leach, joined in 2019 as President of our Tom’s Camperland division overseeing and directly participating in the operations of 3 locations in Arizona. Brad is actively engaged in strategic decisions and planning and expansion in the West as we continue to grow our company.

Brad has a bachelor’s degree in Communication, a minor in Marketing from Arizona State University and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
